*Our Changing Landscape Unit – Grade 2*

Students explored how their community’s landscape has changed over time, built a learning wall to track discoveries, and wrote letters to their principal proposing real campus improvements.

After studying California’s regions, students shared their understanding through displays and discussions—all in Spanish—connecting geography to their lives and communities.

*Civic Engagement Unit – Grade 1*

After reading *Carl the Complainer* and learning about the ADA, students started a petition to make the playground more accessible, showing that even first graders can advocate for change.
